Milla Montis

Born from the ideas of Franziska and Roland Oberhofer, deeply rooted in the traditions of the Maranza region in South Tyrol and with great love for the Dolomites and nature: that is Milla Montis. Far from mainstream hotels the hosts created a home for world-travellers, nature lovers and gourmets. It is an architectonically outstanding building with a warm heart beating for authentic and honest hospitality. We accompanied Milla Montis from the beginning with branding and online and print designs.

The logo design followed the architectural designs of Peter Pichler who created the unique silhouette of the house.

The Milla Montis logo gets straight to the point.

The underdot – a dot below a vowel - is a diacritical mark. We wanted to place emphasize on the o with the dot below and give it a personal touch. Furthermore, the intonation of the word should be underlined. The silhouette of the house was inspired by the shape of the house roofs in Maranza and the curvy shapes are modelled according to the carvings of the balconies of the houses nearby. These design elements were also used for the development of the online and offline presentation of the house. The self-confidence, strength and the commitment to create something totally new from old traditions and the elegance of the final product are displayed in the earth colours with a contrasting black. Soft animations on the website evoke a sense of vital but still soft easiness.
